James Carville confirms he’s a right-wing asshole every election.

[–] Malica@lemmy.zip 58 points 5 days ago (2 children)

Are we still pretending this guy has opinions worth listening to?

[–] LemmyFeed@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 3 days ago (1 children)

who even is this guy and why should anyone care what he thinks?

[–] Malica@lemmy.zip 7 points 3 days ago (1 children)

He's a centrist moron who's only claim to fame is that he's married to a Republican. I'm probably being unfair, but fuck him.

[–] gAlienLifeform@lemmy.world 5 points 3 days ago (1 children)

He also played a principal role crafting in the campaigns of several Democratic presidential candidates, including Massachusetts Senator John Kerry in 2004, New York Senator Hillary Clinton in 2008, and Colorado Senator Michael Bennet in 2020.

He definitely is and always has been a moron, but he's been an unfortunately influential moron over the years

The Dems tend to lose every election he is an advisor in. Its almost like he has no idea what he is talking about.

Corpse rights need some reconsideration.

McConnell zombie moan

[–] Tolookah@discuss.tchncs.de 3 points 5 days ago

His body needs to be incorporated. That will improve his rights greatly.

His next line about having them win by two because Schumer and Fetterman can make Pepto bismol just gives the game away.

Win by two and nothing gets done and we keep cashing in checks, but win by five then we don't have enough fall guys to overcome the progressives desire and drive to do good things for people.

Hakeem can go and we can get a better Speaker.

Remove all these corporate bootlicking genocide supporting bastards. Vote for DSA/Progressives.

Jokes on him, because no one in the DSA trusts our candidates to actually hold anything up.

Joking aside, it's an odd and revealing posture for Carville to take, because it seems to give power to his enemies.

If someone like Carville says 'I've got no problem with the left. We're a big tent', that's politician speak for 'they're useless, and I'm not afraid of them having any influence.' But when he says that he'd rather leave the party than share it with Piker, he's basically cucking himself. Despite having far more power in the Democratic party, he's basically saying that some streamer most people have never heard of is the new kingmaker, and he for all his wealth and influence is a helpless has-been.

Which I like. But it's weird for Carville to say it.

[–] Freeposity@lemmy.world 3 points 3 days ago

Piker is a threat because he has demonstrated that candidates don't need corporate money in order to win. That if you have candidates who demonstrate authenticity, expertise and enthusiasm can crush it with just social media and good old fashioned canvassing.

You see, Piker doesn't take corporate money, he does no ad reads. He can't be bought and that is the greatest threat to the political pundit/consultant class.

Also, Carville is an unwavering Zionist as are all the other attackers from the Democratic Party.

From the amount I've seen Hakeem move, you'd think he was quadriplegic.

[–] uriel238@lemmy.blahaj.zone 9 points 4 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

Ahead of the 2024 presidential election, Carville argued in an interview with Maureen Dowd that the Democratic Party's political culture had become "too dominated by preachy females", which he said contributed to declining support among Black male voters. — Wikipedia.

Carville is part of the problem. I'm sure the black male voters who don't like preachy females already vote Republican to show they aren't effeminate and communist.

I would guess black voters want officials that will do stuff, and serve the public rather than enrich themselves on lobbyist money. But then I'm not a career political consultant.

Well, we've found the corporate, dick sucking shill pretending to be a democrat.

The United States is also a one-party state, but with typical American extravagance, they have two of them.

Just oligarchs succing each other off. Like yeah one cake doesnt have worms but they're both made of shit.

Two parties.

One with flaws and one that’s fucked.
