The weird thing about it all is how inevitable it always was. Texas went out of its way to attract tech companies, tech companies attracted educated people, educated people vote Democrat.

[–] Earthwormjim91@lemmy.world 3 points 19 minutes ago (1 children)

Kinda. Tech is kind of the exception to that. There are a LOT of right wing tech workers. The whole “stem is the only real degree” crowd that believe you shouldn’t need to learn any liberal arts in college for a STEM degree, and who support right wing causes like protecting wealth because they make a ton of money.

A lot of those are the ones that made the jump to relocate from places like California.

The incel techies are mad about ram prices and nvidia cards being unobtanium.

[–] ayyy@sh.itjust.works 1 points 16 minutes ago

As a software guy in the Bay Area, it’s nowhere near as cut and dry as you make it out to be. All the evil shit tech companies do isn’t actually programmed by the billionaires, it’s programmed by normal people with educations that believe they will deeeeeeefinitely be the next billionaire.

He can move back to California now that we've shown we're incapable of passing a wealth tax.

[–] psycho_driver@lemmy.world 1 points 8 minutes ago

Did you guys see that he suspended Abbott's X account?

He can move to the surface of the sun. Just tell him it'll be cool and dark if he goes at night, he's a moron so it has a good chance of working.

[–] rovingnothing29@lemmy.world 8 points 1 hour ago (4 children)

That's just wasteful. It's about 3 times more fuel efficient to hurl him into the crushing depths of Jupiter than the fires of the sun.

[–] ayyy@sh.itjust.works 2 points 15 minutes ago

It’s ok to treat yourself sometimes.

[–] Flower@sh.itjust.works 1 points 3 minutes ago

Tell him the surface of the moon is made out of ketamine but you got to take it fresh from the source.

[–] db2@lemmy.world 5 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

One good burst and let him go ballistic, whether or not he makes the sun isn't particularly relevant.

[–] BlindPenguin@piefed.social 3 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

You still need to make sure he goes away from earth, not accidentally tumbling towards it in a few thousand years.

[–] Wfh@lemmy.zip 3 points 46 minutes ago

Do the ISS astronauts dump their waste in a decaying orbit? If so, he would just be another dehydrated turd burning up in the atmosphere on reentry.

[–] jaybone@lemmy.zip 1 points 59 minutes ago

It seems like that wouldn’t be more fuel efficient.

[–] Mouselemming@sh.itjust.works 13 points 2 hours ago

He's already paying for Mars, just tell him you've solved all the safety issues and his private rocket is all ready. He can take anyone he likes with him, they just have to be able to buy their own tickets, don't want any non-billionaires along.

[–] Mycatiskai@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 hour ago

Send him on one of his heavy rockets. We know how well his stuff works.

I know he doesn't actually design this stuff but the stupid things he asks his engineers to do is what is wrecking his companies.

"I spent 500 million to buy the election and all I got was this lousy t-shirt."

[–] psycho_driver@lemmy.world 1 points 6 minutes ago (1 children)

I saw that someone was going to post a bunch of billionaire addresses. We should definitely have a few of these shirts made and sent to every one of his.

[–] Diplomjodler3@lemmy.world 2 points 4 minutes ago

Great plan!

[–] KingGordon@lemmy.world 17 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

I tried to buy an election and all i got was jailtime! 42069

[–] Diplomjodler3@lemmy.world 2 points 28 minutes ago

Well, it's an orange t-shirt, then. But i don't think the Dems will ever have the balls to actually go after the broligarchs.

[–] wildncrazyguy138@fedia.io 4 points 1 hour ago

Best to move somewhere very safe. One that has a space center. Like Mississippi.

[–] AA5B@lemmy.world 1 points 30 minutes ago

There is that swampland in Louisiana

[–] NickeeCoco@piefed.social 13 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

you can get Musk to leave your state with this one trick

[–] ZC3rr0r@piefed.ca 6 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

If that does not motivate voters I don't know what will. "Healthcare? Who care? Just yeet Musk over the state lines."

[–] HurricaneLiz@lemmy.world 2 points 45 minutes ago

Yeet's best usage in a sentence so far

[–] BooBees@fedinsfw.app 56 points 3 hours ago (2 children)

Joe Rogan gonna move his comedy club to Oklahoma

[–] MousePotatoDoesStuff@piefed.social 21 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

I wonder if they'll be ... OK with that

[–] cmbabul@lemmy.world 21 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

Even there he’s surrounded on all sides thanks to Kansas. Florida it is!

[–] arrow74@lemmy.zip 14 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

FL senate and governor's race was closer than it's been in a while

[–] psycho_driver@lemmy.world 1 points 4 minutes ago

If the dems had actually spent money there they could probably have taken both. Funny that they swept the districts gerrymandered for the house seats though.

[–] Reygle@lemmy.world 6 points 1 hour ago* (last edited 1 hour ago) (1 children)

Let's convince him to move to Mars but deviate his ship to run out of oxygen JUST as he pierces the sun's corona

but then how will we turn mars blue?

[–] daychilde@lemmy.world 4 points 1 hour ago (1 children)
[–] psycho_driver@lemmy.world 1 points 3 minutes ago

Even Florida will go blue as the snow birds die off. They're all too dumb to realize their easy lives were thanks to FDR.

[–] makeshift0546@lemmy.today 4 points 1 hour ago

I hope we get to hang him as an enemy of the state.

[–] gh0stb4tz@lemmy.world 3 points 1 hour ago

Everyone hates this stupid fucking nerd.

[–] thinkingofyouihaveananxietydisorder@quokk.au 2 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

we should make him feel welcome to come back to California.

[–] jaybone@lemmy.zip 1 points 54 minutes ago

Since people are too stupid or brainwashed to pass prop 40.

[–] MrSulu@lemmy.ml 1 points 58 minutes ago (1 children)

He's looking for the most Nazi of Nazi hiding holes.

[–] arrow74@lemmy.zip 4 points 53 minutes ago
[–] bitjunkie@lemmy.world 14 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

Can it be to the bottom of the ocean this time?

[–] bridgeenjoyer@sh.itjust.works 10 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

He should really go on an Oceangate ride.

[–] jaybone@lemmy.zip 2 points 50 minutes ago

I want to get off Mr. Crushy’s crushy ride.
