"free" they're conveniently leaving out the cost to grow one to the proper size. And peeling them is a messy nightmare. I would do it in a tub or outside.

Easier just to leave them on an anthill. (I feel gross for having made this joke, thanks internet)

Dermestid beetles are great if you can manage to get ahold of them!

Those beetles are expensive and traceable.

Buy a pig. One pig can strip a body in hours, and nobody will think you’re weirder than wanting a pig. You’ll need to starve it for a couple of days first.

They’ll eat the bones too, though, so keep a close eye on it if you want the skeleton.

And now I’m on a list for looking this up.

This about stripping the flesh from bones, not disposing of a body! A pig would do too much damage.

That’s why you need to keep a close eye on it. Don’t be afraid to take the bones when they’ve been stripped, just jump in there, and watch your ankles and dangly bits.

Child skulls would be scary as fuck for Halloween decorations.

We were all this. Humans are nightmare fuel.

Virus go brrrr

free

Death is extremely expensive though

[–] WhyIHateTheInternet@lemmy.world 4 points 5 months ago

Nah it's the whole ceremony of closure thing that costs so much. Serial killers do it all the time for the cost of a piano wire or whatever.

Death is free. Disposal of corpses can be expensive.

As someone whose first job was with the worst cemetery company in the northern hemisphere, don’t fall for the biggest scams, where they’ll charge your grieving loved ones for silk pillows and hermetic sealing.

Donate yourself to science. It’s free, and you can help med students learn. It’s not like you need your body once you’re gone, and a home shrine is better than taking up physical space that people will forget to care for or winding up in a vase at goodwill.

removing flouride from water is also on the list. dentists are going to make bank in anti-flouride areas. hydroxyapatite needs more research before it can be usefinitely , right now its just marketing spins, the most useful application is in implants.

the reason people are going for flouride free toothpaste and felt "healthier, is because alot these off-brand toothpaste have whitening products, its a temporary benefit, and it is harmful to the dentin down the line.
