I would very much like it if whoever said that sat for a painfully uncomfortable interview.

[–] TheTechnician27@lemmy.world 57 points 2 months ago (2 children)

You mean the satirist who wrote it as a joke? What would they be painfully uncomfortably interviewed about?

[–] A_norny_mousse@piefed.zip 5 points 2 months ago

Hmm. I thought Republicans Against Trump were a serious account, but can't find evidence of that right now. Well, at least Republican Voters Against Trump are real.

In any case, I have no trouble believing what the headline says.

So "Too Big to Fail" again? Your existence justifies the sexual abuse of minors?

No.

[–] givesomefucks@lemmy.world 11 points 2 months ago

As long as the wealthy are in power, they're gonna keep saying that they should never experience any negatives

The good news is, the only reason they're in power is we kept letting them be the only two options.

The DNC pivoted away from neoliberalism a year ago, so we'll get a fair primary and no neoliberal can win one of those.

Hillary had to use Bill's charisma to get the neoliberals in power, and then Obama just fucked off and ignored it instead of taking it back when he could have.

Like, it sucks, but this really is a "darkest before the dawn" moment. When the great depression hit we got FDR, we just had to deal with a couple months of armed veterans living at the Washington monument and that piece of shit Hoover actually sending tanks against them.

People that act like this is new and unprecedented are just ignorant of history.

There's a path where we fix most of America's problems including holding all these oligarchs responsible in the next five years. We've literally never been this close and if Kamala was in office we'd honestly be even further away and likely know even less from the files right now.

Which is again why having a non iased dnc is so important right now.

Too big to fail also happens to be too big to care.

They go hand in hand.

[–] SaharaMaleikuhm@feddit.org 65 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Resignation? Enprisonment is the bare minimum

[–] PunnyName@lemmy.world 6 points 2 months ago

Hang them by their toes.

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

Archon Drakon demands more

[–] ilinamorato@lemmy.world 51 points 2 months ago

YOUR TERMS ARE ACCEPTABLE

[–] SeductiveTortoise@piefed.social 43 points 2 months ago

That sounds great. Let's do that! And don't forget to tidy up the Democrats as well. If any of those is complicit, I want them gone. Not both sides bad, but bad people bad. Bad people prison. Let's fucking gooooo!

[–] jaschen306@sh.itjust.works 41 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I'm fine having non pedos running this country

[–] vivalapivo@lemmy.today 8 points 2 months ago (1 children)

So like 4 dems and 3 gopers and no billionaires at all. Wtf dude

[–] PhoenixDog@lemmy.world 6 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Drain the swamp, bulldoze it over, and create a new family park.

[–] JoeBigelow@lemmy.ca 4 points 2 months ago

No! Drain THIS swamp and restore a proper wetland ecosystem like what existed previously to DC being built.

[–] FreddiesLantern@leminal.space 31 points 2 months ago

And yet again…

[–] JeeBaiChow@lemmy.world 26 points 2 months ago (1 children)

So apparently they think of themselves as 'too big to fail'.

[–] PunnyName@lemmy.world 6 points 2 months ago

And they are, until they aren't. Plot armor has a limited lifespan. We need to deal with it.

[–] bcgm3@lemmy.world 22 points 2 months ago

Sounds like a confession to me, let's name some names!

[–] OhStopYellingAtMe@lemmy.world 20 points 2 months ago

I don’t see any downside here.

[–] madjo@piefed.social 20 points 2 months ago

As if that's a bad thing! I don't care who's on that list, I don't care about what political affiliation they might have, they all need to face accountability for what they did to those girls!

[–] blattrules@lemmy.world 19 points 2 months ago

Trump made the qanons right and the US is run by a cabal of pedophiles.

"They can't fire us all" say corrupt pieces of shit passing legislation aimed at replacing humans with AI

[–] Steve@startrek.website 16 points 2 months ago (1 children)
[–] takeda@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 2 months ago

Wait, this is not a satire, they really said it?

[–] minorkeys@lemmy.world 15 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

So if a section of the system all goes corrupt together, we should just let them keep being corrupt? No. We bring them to justice in a way that the system can recover from.

[–] Almacca@aussie.zone 10 points 2 months ago (1 children)
[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 3 points 2 months ago (1 children)

IF I HAD TO guess it would be trump himself, pam bondi and another attorney.

[–] EmpathicVagrant@lemmy.world 6 points 2 months ago

Those are your guesses for who is NOT involved in a cover-up? Really?

[–] BigMacHole@sopuli.xyz 10 points 2 months ago (3 children)

When we Elected Trump to DRAIN the Swamp what we REALLY Meant was we want ONLY the Swamp and NO ONE ELSE!

-LITERALLY Every Republican you know!

[–] chiliedogg@lemmy.world 8 points 2 months ago (1 children)

When you drain the water from the swamp, all that's left is the scum.

Right. After draining you must dredge.

[–] smeenz@lemmy.nz 7 points 2 months ago

Ironically, all this cover up effort is illuminating swamp monsters we otherwise wouldn't have known about.

[–] Red_October@piefed.world 3 points 2 months ago

Well see they wanted to drain the swamp, and then they dredged the sludge off the bottom and put it in the white house and all positions of power.

[–] big_slap@lemmy.world 9 points 2 months ago

what a fantastic idea, a massive reset of the government sounds great to me! what are the downsides? please, someone who disagrees with me, state your opinions. I promise I will not flame you

[–] Krauerking@lemy.lol 7 points 2 months ago

Why is a shock that I don't want pedophiles and corrupt backwater deal people running my country?

[–] DevotedShitStain69@lemmy.world 6 points 2 months ago

They've committed treason, the 25th must be used and remove them all from office; and of course set an example by using the fullest extend of the law against them. No less is an injustice to us all.

[–] unemployedclaquer@sopuli.xyz 5 points 2 months ago

Thomas Massie is running rough, but slightly different district

[–] wuffah@lemmy.world 5 points 2 months ago

This is why they’re building concentration camps right before the midterms. They know they’re becoming universally reviled, and will be voted out soon if they don’t end democracy in America.

[–] unemployedclaquer@sopuli.xyz 4 points 2 months ago

Mitch is laughably collapsing. I do not look forward to the shit show

[–] LadyMeow@lemmy.blahaj.zone 4 points 2 months ago

Fuck I came.

[–] Doorbook@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago (1 children)

So if trump legalize rape would anyone be able to stop him ?

[–] ameancow@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

States could.

States have a TON of power here to nullify whatever federal bullshit is passed down to them, either by making their own state laws or using their judges and high courts to stop federal orders or block them, or sue the administration for unlawful or unconstitutional policy.

This has been happening a lot already, the administration and their media outlets don't like talking about it because they are gambling everything on making the federal government look like the supreme, ruling command system in the US, but the federal government serves the states.

Where we're having the most problem here is that the states electorate of representatives have been largely compromised, with only a small handful of congress people and senators who aren't completely in the pocket of this admin's cash-grab operation.

We didn't do enough to secure or our local representation and leadership, so at this point if Trump signed a "rape is legal" bill and Congress and Senate passed it, only a handful of states would make an attempt to block it, and that should terrify us all.

[–] Sanctus@anarchist.nexus 2 points 2 months ago

Oh I was thinking more like the morgue

[–] Sam_Bass@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

They dug their hole let them stew in it

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 1 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)
