This is more than the average fossil car owner pays in gas taxes, and really bad policy during a world fuel shortage.

The IPO Math Forces the Issue

Both OpenAI and Anthropic are on IPO timelines for the second half of 2026. OpenAI completed the largest private funding round in history in April, $122 billion at an $852 billion post-money valuation. Anthropic has reportedly surpassed $30 billion in annualized revenue. Massive numbers, both of them. Also both attached to companies that are still burning cash at extraordinary rates.

Public markets will not tolerate the gap between subscription revenue and compute cost that has defined the past three years. The moment either company files, analysts will demand unit economics that show a path to margin. Usage-based billing is the fastest way to demonstrate that path.

None of this contradicts the repricing thesis. The pricing war is the last land grab before the gate closes. Both companies are spending aggressively now to lock in users whose switching costs will make them sticky when prices rise. OpenAI offers two months free. Anthropic offers 50% more capacity. Both expire in July. What comes after July is the real pricing.

Listen to the audio, its pathetic.

This shit calls the pharmacy nonstop asking if adderall is in stock. What can we say that will blow their budget?

Greenlandic officials worry about the direction of the negotiations aimed at defusing President Trump’s threats to seize their island. But they have little leverage.

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Sen. Bill Cassidy was decisively defeated in Saturday’s Republican primary in Louisiana, unable to convince voters that he deserved another term five years after voting to convict President Donald Trump during an impeachment trial over the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.

He finished behind U.S. Rep. Julia Letlow, who capitalized on the power of Trump’s endorsement as the president continues purging his party of people he views as disloyal, and John Fleming, the state treasurer. Letlow and Fleming will compete in a runoff on June 27.

The result was the latest example of Trump’s unrivaled power over the Republican Party as he approaches the twilight of his second term with persistent inflation, sagging approval ratings and dissatisfaction over the war with Iran. Unlike some other senators who declined to run again after crossing Trump, Cassidy pushed hard for reelection and spent nearly double the combined amount of his opponents.

Edit: I didn't realize the original was AI, so I stole the joke and remade it over a stock photo that I really hope isn't. Sorry everyone.

The agreement provides a $250 signing bonus to drivers who have completed a minimum of 50 trips since July 1, 2025. Uber drivers are also eligible for quarterly bonuses based on the number of trips they have completed. For example, drivers who have completed more than 750 trips will receive quarterly bonuses of $600. The union also negotiated an annual 5-per-cent increase in wait time and cancellation fees that drivers get if a passenger is late or cancels a trip, and an annual $500 wellness fund for sick time and benefits.

“We heard from drivers that they wanted to tie benefits to the number of drives they do, rather than the distance or time, so we really tried to push for a compensation system that reflected that,” Mr. Godoy said, adding that it was important for the union to ensure that driver ratings determined by customers were not tied to any of the benefits in the collective agreement.
